The Path is Gone, the way is clear is inspired by The Hermit tarot card and explores those deep, transformative phases of life where we’re called to pause, reflect, and trust ourselves to move forward. It’s about those moments when the road ahead isn’t obvious, and we have to rely on our inner guide to figure out what’s next.

In the painting, shadowy figures represent parts of ourselves we need to face, as well as unexpected people or situations that cross our path. Some might help us grow; others might hold us back—it’s up to us to figure out which is which. Balancing them are bright, glowing figures and a beam of light, symbols of the support we receive along the way. Whether it’s spiritual beliefs, family, ancestors, or the pull of our own hopes and dreams, these guiding energies act as our north star.

The underwater setting adds a sense of calm and depth. Water has an incredible way of helping us sort through problems. It is symbolic of the healing process of washing away what doesn’t belong and renewing ourselves. This piece is all about the process of developing discernment, intuition, and wisdom through our own devices.
